LIVE: Man hospitalised following collision with garda patrol van in Waterford

Investigations are ongoing

A man has been hospitalised after a collision with a garda patrol van last night in Waterford, An Garda Síochána have confirmed. 

Both gardaí and emergency services responded to this road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 9:10pm on Wednesday, January 21 in The Glen, Waterford City.

Throughout the course of this incident, it was confirmed by a spokesperson for gardaí that a car did collide with a garda patrol van.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was conveyed to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of non-life threatening injuries following the crash.

No Garda members reported any injuries and investigations are currently ongoing.
